About Perdix Design

Operating as Perdix Design Limited, I have been supplying professional design services since 1998, with almost a decade of engineering design and draughting experience before that. During this time, I have gained experience with a diverse range of industries and built up knowledge of different manufacturing methods and techniques. This directly benefits clients because I usually know how to 'get stuff done’, or who to ask.

Perdix Design Ltd is, essentially, the legal entity extension of me and my professional design and engineering design services. Talking about Perdix Design is to talk about me.

I am unapologetically a generalist. The phrase ‘Jack of all trades, and master of none’ has a little-known line that follows; ‘But often better than master of one’. I bring an expansive ‘toolkit’ with me, and that generalist background means that I can offer an alternative perspective bringing extra strength to achieving design goals and results. Providing a collaborative design service, both business to business and to individuals, I make use of my design experience in POP, automotive, aerospace lighting, fabrication, energy, industrial control, and specialist products, to deliver a solution unique to you.

My study of fine art, creation of sculpture, designing and building theatrical props and sets can help to influence commercial designs. A better design solution can be reached through my understanding of practical aesthetics, ergonomics and the interaction of people within an environment, or with objects. This is achieved whilst also maintaining focus on the budgetary constraints and requirements that are key driving factors.

Most design requirements are unique. The designs to suit those circumstances should be unique too - we can build on what has gone before, but we needn’t be restricted by it.

We should remain open to possibility and creativity, but one requirement is sacrosanct:
